SMS Opt-In and Consent

RingServe, operated by The Big Fat Dad, LLC, sends text messages only to people who ask for one during a support call they placed themselves. This page shows exactly how that consent is collected.

How consent is given

Consent is given verbally, on an inbound call the customer initiates. Before any message is sent, the assistant asks permission out loud:

  1. Step 1 · Caller

Calls the support line and asks for help with their subscription.

  2. Step 2 · RingServe assistant

I can text you a direct link to the dashboard where the cancel button lives right now. Would you like me to send that to this number?

  3. Step 3 · Caller

    Yes, please.

  4. Step 4 · RingServe

Sends one text message to the number the caller is calling from. If the caller says no, nothing is sent.

A message is sent only after an affirmative answer. A refusal is honoured and no message is sent. Every call is recorded and transcribed, so each message has an auditable record of the consent that preceded it.

There is no other way to receive a message from us. We have no web opt-in form, no keyword campaign and no purchased or uploaded lists, and we never send marketing.

What you will receive

One transactional message, in direct response to your request. For example:

Here is the link to cancel your subscription: https://[account-link] Reply STOP to opt out.
  • Frequency: one-time, only when you ask on a call. This is not a recurring programme.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Opting out of messages does not cancel or change any subscription.
  • Support: support@ringserve.com
